Advent calender 2008

I really enjoyed this years advent calende,it is always nice to see the faces of the girls in the Ivalde group.Thanks to all my loyal group members,and welcome to all the new ones:)
I planned to take photos of all the advent gifts,but december been such a busy RL month for(guess I am not the only one),i havent had time to do everything I planned.
But luckily I have so many sweet and nice group members and Cyn Peccable is one of them:)
She made such a nice photo galore of Ivalde Advent calender gifts 2008.

*NEWS* Redesigned a old favourite

Brigitte is a favorite of mine I made almost 1.5 years ago.
It was made with my old computer, the one that turned bad
and I could not see the colors properly, especially the darkest colors,
so it needed a update.

Desiree is a satin formal that is pure diva! A straight-necked, short-sleeve satin bodice bares the back with a low-set button pulling it all closed. The pencil skirt features an asymmetric hemline, rising to knee-length in front, draping to the ankle in the back. A diaphanous sculpted skirt and elbow-length gloves are the perfect finishing touches!

Henny is a 1920 inspired knee-length cocktail dress, Henny is a wonderful mix of sexiness and sophistication. Tailored with a shoulder-baring halter top, the demure high neck is offset by a bold, diamond cutout over the cleavage. The neck and the cutout are trimmed in art deco beadwork, as well as the waist, dramatically showcasing the design. The elaborate beadwork cascades down on to the front of the system skirt which is framed by a prim, flexi 3/4 skirt which adds movement and sway.

Inspired by the styles of the 1930s, Adare is a knee-length dress that's so pretty in plaid! With a scoop neck, framed by sculpted puff sleeves, Adare has fabric-covered buttons dotting the front. The flexi A-line skirt is cut on the bias and updated with ombre-shading!

A trip to Oslo

Tonight I will be on a train to Oslo. Just to receive the Nobel price........lol no,just kidding.
I shall meet my bigsister and big brother,I havent seen my sister in 1.5 year since we lives so far apart.
I will be away until monday the 15th december.
while I am gone Beulah will be taking care of the advent calender ,and SerenityVal will be taking care of Ivalde.And of course Brumm will be dropping in now and then,but he is home alone with the kids and he also have a excamen friday,so I guess he will be pretty busy:)

Redesigned bustlegown

Dorothea, my victorian bustlegown, has been redesigned. It's an oldie and badly needed an update. It was made in the period my computer went bad. Most changes are on the shirt, but the new version also includes more and different flexi-skirt and bustle attachment options.
Those who have the old version and want the new one, please send me the dress in a folder with a note inside with your name and I will send you the new one asap:) The gown is transfer so it's no problem dropping it on me:)

The Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Make-A-Wish Foundation mission is "To grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy". So please come and help us raise money for this amazing charity.
Ivalde has donated a limited edition gown to this event. Only 25 of this gown will ever be available.
(I dont know the price yet.)

Peace on earth

Tomorrow starts the peace on earth hunt,Ingebjorg is my contribution,a Norwegian inspired bunad.

A bunad is a traditional Norwegian costume, typically of rural origin. Bunads are local to Norway's traditional districts, and the result both of traditional evolution and organized efforts to discover and modernize traditional designs. The designs are typically elaborate, with embroidery, scarves, shawls and hand-made silver or gold jewellery. There are bunads both for men and women, although women's bunads are more diverse and popular.
The various bunads have been designed through different means. Some of them are based on old local customs; other models are reconstructions made in the 20th century, relying on local and historical material. The interest for bunads dates back to Norwegian romantic nationalism and gained increasing interest with the folk-dance movement at the beginning of the 20th century.

A new gift will be under the tree every day until the 25th december:)
